We are teen biological siblings...one sister and two brothers...we have a younger adopted sister.
When our family was in the adoption process, our parents went to training and read LOTS of books about adoption and parenting an adopted child. They told us it was going to be hard and tried to help us know what to expect. We all agree that we were not prepared for our sister! We had no idea how much screaming she would do or how difficult she would be or how much our lives and family life would change because of her. Of course, our parents didn't know either.
We just want to get something out there for kids with adopted siblings to let them know they're not the only ones and that others understand what it's like. There are lots of resources out there for our parents, but not much for us kids. Adoption affects the siblings too.
